Since 2009, Senzora has been certified according to the AISE Charter for Sustainable cleaning, a European sustainability standard for the detergent industry. Companies affiliated with this state that they can produce sustainably.
As a member of the NVZ industry association, Senzora conforms to its sustainability policy. The washing, cleaning, maintenance and disinfection products sector approaches sustainability on the basis of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These goals have been set by all 193 member states of the United Nations and form the sustainability agenda for the period 2015-2030. They show that sustainability is about many different aspects, such as climate change and responsible use of raw materials, but also about gender equality and good health for everyone.

Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) is a simple, effective and cost-efficient way to manage information about sustainability and ethical behavior in the supply chain. It is an online secure database that enables companies to report and share information on the following four topics: :

• Environmental / Eco management
• Business ethics
Senzora has been a member of SEDEX for years. That is why we have also filled in Sedex’s SAQ (Self Assessment Questionnaire or self-declaration) on the website, so that customers can view our data, for example. Senzora has been audited by SGS through a multi-day so-called SMETA audit (SEDEX Members Ethical Trade Audit). Interviews with various employees at all levels are part of the audit.

Senzora also has its own ecological brand, namely Klok. Klok consists of a range of washing and cleaning products that are ecological and skin-friendly. The products are certified and approved by the EU Ecolabel and the Asthma Allergy Nordic label. No perfumes and / or dyes have been added to the recipes.
Senzora has been a successful participant of the MJA for many years. This is a multi-year agreement with the government (RVO) for energy saving. By implementing various saving measures, Senzora meets the applicable saving more than standard.
The new building of the soda factory, which was realized in 2019, is fully equipped with LED lighting. In addition, the current fluorescent lighting has been partially replaced by LED lighting. Over time, the other fluorescent lighting will also be replaced by LED lighting.
In 2016, Senzora installed the first solar panels on the roof of the production halls. The installation of the solar panel installation is entirely in line with the business philosophy and with the products of Senzora. The solar panel installation now has nearly 2000 panels. This solar panel installation has been realized through intensive cooperation between Senzora, Pactum Installatietechniek, PM Energie and Energiefonds Overijssel. The installation generates the energy that corresponds to 180 households and helps Senzora to make its production more sustainable. The first part of the installation was officially put into use on 6 June 2016.
